1st Annual Cannon Tournament (10/25/2005)

In conjunction with Super Duper Games we are holding the first official Cannon tournament to start Dec 9th. The sign up has already started and can be done at the SDG tournament center. Details including a picture of the one of a kind hand made Cannon set offered as the prize can be found on the newly added tournament page. Like all SDG hosted games this is an open event and free to enter. We are looking forward to see you on the roster.

Depth Charge finalist in About.com contest (10/18/2005)

I am excited to announce that my entry Depth Charge has made the List of finalist for the 2005 About.com Deduction Game Design contest . I will be adding it to the free games section soon, until then you can get it at their site.

Cannon Database Added at SDG (08/30/2005)

Super Duper Games has added a Database for Cannon Games to its site for those who wish to study the game. You can view game transcripts and see statistical data from games played at SDG as well as one added from other sources. They have also included an AI player. The AI algorithm is still being worked on so it is not yet an expert opponent. It is a great way for new players to learn the rules and basics of play. For the more experienced player a position experimentation board is included where you can set up the board as you like which is perfect for studying tricky endgame positions, new opens or for developing puzzles.

Yes that is right Free, we are not just using the word free to get your attention like some web sites do and I am not talking about a free trial. Super Duper Games has been nice enough to host our game Cannon along with a line up of other abstract games. There are no hidden fees or restrictions on how many games you can play. Come join the community and have a Super Duper time.

The Fire Monks long silence has ended? (07/10/2005)

Just incase you missed having it I have put the Words of Wisdom quotes generator back up with a few quotes added, right now this is only working from the News page. In case your have not seen it just click on the Fire Monk logo to the left to be assailed with quotes about games, creativity and occasionally life in general.
