Dead Even
A PyroMyth dominos game for 2 or more players*; Ages (If you
can add you can play)
(Warning this game may be
educational)
* The
maximum # of players is directly proportionate to the set of dominos. A double
12s set can support 6 players; smaller sets will support less; larger sets will
support more.
Required Equipment: One set of dominos, paper
and pencil.
To start the game place the
dominos face down and mix them well. Each player draws 5 tiles keeping the
values hidden from the others. The youngest player should get to go first; play
will continue clockwise. On a players turn they will take the following actions
in order.
1. Draw a tile
2. Score a set of tiles if possible
3. Bring hand to 5 tiles
Draw a tile: The player will
take one of the face down tiles or one face up tile from the discard pile.
Score a set of tiles: Tiles
are scored by matching a set of three or more so that the top row value is
equal to the value of the bottom row.
Example 1

The points you score for the
set are as follows
1 pt for each tile in the
match
5 pts for using all 6 tiles
-2 pts for using a double (no
matter how many are used)*
*Any
tile that has the same value on the top and bottom tiles that are scored should
be set aside face up so all players may view them, keep this away from the
discard pile so they are not confused with each other.
Bring hand to 5 tiles: if the
player drew a tile and was unable to score they must discard one face up; it
may not be the same tile they drew from the discard. A play that scored draws tiles
from the face down tiles to fill their hand to 5 if possible.
The game ends when there are
no remain face down tiles and a player is unable to score.
