(Indivisible)
A PyroMyth game for 2-4 players

02/21/2005

Object to claim opponent’s cards by determining the number of a given card in their hand.

Equipment: 1 standard deck of playing cards with face cards removed leaving A-10 and 1 marker (Coin)

Deal cards face up to each play until one gets an ace. They will be the starting player. Give them the coin.

Shuffle the deck and deal cards to each player.

  • 2 players - 7 cards
  • 3 players - 6 cards
  • 4 players - 5 cards

Every turn a card will be turned face up and each player will announce how many cards in their hand can be divided evenly into it. These cards should be put in separate piles by rank so everyone can see what has been draw through out the game. If a player has no cards that can be evenly divided into it they announce Indivisible.

Example: if Jims hand is A/3/5/7/10 and a 10 is turned up he would announce he has 3 cards; 10 is divisible by 10, 5, and A (one).

Starting with the player with the coin and continuing clockwise each player may attempt but is not required to guess one other players cards. The need to tell what card they are looking for and how many that player has in their hand. Guessing 0 is not valid. If they are correct in guessing both the rank of the card and how many the guessing player gets that card/s and places them face up in front of them for scoring at the games end. If they are wrong they must discard one card from their hand face up onto the common piles. When a player has no more cards in their hand they may no longer guess and are out until scoring.

After everyone has had a chance to guess, the coin is passed clockwise to the next player.

    The game ends when:

  • One player has taken more than half of all the players’ cards
  • Only one player has a hand of cards left
  • The draw deck is depleted and a final round of guessing has taken place.

Players score 1 pt for each card they possess both taken from others and in their hand. Ties are broken by the total value of cards with the highest value winning.
